Le Marche - Relaxing beaches & seaside experiences

Updated: Nov 7, 2021

Pebbly beaches with clear blue water, relaxing days with your feet in the sand, boat trips, yoga and more. Le Marche is the perfect place for a memorable beach holiday.

Le Marche has a 180km coastline that stretches right along the Adriatic. The ideal location for a relaxing beach holiday. The most famous beaches of Le Marche are in the northern part of Le Marche. These include Sirolo, Numana, Monte Conero and Portonovo.

These beautiful beaches with clear blue water are one of Italy’s real treasures with “blue flag” status and plenty of natural wildlife surrounding the beach. The Marchegiani make sure to keep these beaches in tip top condition, with its visitors respecting the beauty, peace and tranquility that can be found at these beaches.

Don’t forget to try out the famous local dish Moscioli when you are around Monte Conero!

The majority of the beaches in the north are pebbly beaches. Therefore, if you are looking for a more sandy, flat beach, I would recommend heading towards the southern part of Le Marche.

The beaches of Civitanova Marche, Porto San Giorgio, Grottammare, Cupramarittima and San Benedetto del Toronto all offer beautiful flat sandy beaches. During the summer, sunbeds are available and stretch right along the beaches. Want to holiday like the Italians? Rent a sunbed, have lunch at a chalet, and enjoy an aperol spiritz or a beer or two whilst relaxing in the sunshine.

Activities on the beach

There are a few activities that I would really recommend doing when in Le Marche. They are all truly magic, unique and feel good experiences.

Boat Trip

One thing I would really recommend is taking a boat tour around the coastline of Monte Conero. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the spectacular views and various beaches that are only accessible by boat. Take a swim out in the clear, warm waters and admire the beautiful nature of Monte Conero.

Yoga

Why not participate in a yoga class on the beach? Sunrise or sunset is the best time for this as it is the cooler time of day. Stretch and embrace yourself and nature whilst on the beautiful sandy beach.

Kayaking

One of the most magical experiences you can do is a morning sunrise kayak. It does involve waking up quite early but it is totally worth it. Kayak out into the sea and watch the beautiful orange sun rise up from the horizon.
